Our Story

Amidst the craziness of 2020, soulmates unexpectedly came of it.

When the world was on lock down and places were closing, Alex found himself no longer working at Lansdowne Resort in Virginia. Switching gears to restaurants during the pandemic, he started working at Clyde’s of Reston, where Rachael was already working. Within a few short weeks of meeting we hit it off quickly and started dating.

We then had to survive dating semi-long distance for a semester as Rachael finished graduating from JMU while Alex become a manager at Clyde’s. After graduating, Rachael started working at a hand-made needlepoint company, Smathers & Branson, as a graphic designer. Shortly after, Alex started working there as well and is now their Production Coordinator. Who knew we would be working together again!

We are happily living in Reston together with our two cats, Gizmo & Onyx, where we enjoy watching movies, going to concerts, and eating the best food! We’re so excited to get married and start this new journey together.
